Best iPhone Game Updates: ‘Marvel Future Fight’, ‘World of Tanks Blitz’, ‘Disney Heroes’, ‘Outlanders’, and More

Hello everyone, and welcome to the week! It’s time once again for our look back at the noteworthy updates of the last seven days. I have a confession: I forgot to pick the obligatory free-to-play matching puzzle game update this time. It just slipped my mind, and now I don’t have time. I hope you enjoy this list otherwise. Of course, you can keep an eye out for updates yourself by participating in the TouchArcade forums. This weekly summary is just here to fill you in on the things you might have missed. Let’s go for it!

Dan The Man, Free Dan the Man is five years old now, apparently. The time really gets away from you, doesn’t it? To celebrate, there’s a special event going on where the Geezers need to fight the Midas Touch before this anniversary becomes golden in a bad way. Wait, who are the Geezers? They’re Dan’s best buds, and they’re available as new skins in this update. There’s also a new golden skin, appropriately enough. Battle on some new special levels and do your best to take down the golden fighters. Naturally, there are also some new emotes and event icons to collect.

Jetpack Joyride, Free In case you didn’t know, there’s a new Ghostbusters movie out. Friend to the team Barry Steakfries is ready and waiting with a fresh new event to commemorate the occasion. Grab a Grooberson costume, a Muncher jetpack, the Afterlife Ecto-1, and two new backgrounds for a limited time. Other Ghostbusters-related goodies make a comeback including the Dr. Barry Buster costume, the Proton Pack, Slimer, and Filing Cabinet jetpacks, and the original Ecto-1. The vehicle skins and backgrounds from the previous collaboration events are here, too.

MARVEL Future Fight, Free A little late to the party, but Marvel Future Fight also has an Eternals event to share with the class. The movie discussion appears to have moved on to the aforementioned Ghostbusters movie, but I’m sure there are still some people who will be happy to join in on this event anyway. Gilgamesh, Thena, and Kingo have been added to the game as playable characters, and Thena gets a Tier-3 version while the other two get Potential Transcended takes. A new Quest Pack called The Fate of Mankind has been added, along with a new story Dimension Rift. No Spider-Mans, eh? That’s rough.

Disney Magic Kingdoms, Free A curious combination of events in this latest update to Disney Magic Kingdoms. First, a limited-time Mandalorian Season 2 event is going on. Ahsoka Tano, Fennec Shand, and Boba Fett can be added to your Kingdom. Sure, why not? The other event is the LeFou Tower, which gives you a chance to add LeFou, Gaston’s helpful toadie, to your park if you missed him the last time he showed up. Boba Fett and LeFou, brands sure are something these days.

Disney Heroes: Battle Mode, Free This feels like an update that should have hit around Halloween, but I suppose it’s never too late for some Hocus Pocus goodness. Or is that badness? You can add the three Sanderson Sisters to your team in this latest version, which again brings me to boggle at the weirdness of modern brand convergence. Winifred, Mary, and Sarah can now battle on your team alongside all of your other Disney characters. There are also some new modes for Trial Events, along with some bug fixes and other improvements. This is probably as close to Spider-Mans as we’re going to get this week, so I’ll give this the coveted UMMSotW award for surprising me.

World of Tanks Blitz 3D War, Free Do you like to battle tanks, amicos and amicas? Then you might like this new update for World of Tanks Blitz. Crew voices have been updated so that the crews of Italian, Polish, and Czechoslovakian tanks will now speak their native languages. That’s right, przyjaciele! I went and looked up how to say ‘friend’ in all three of these languages just so that I could say I learned something. Apologies if I’ve made a mistake. This update also includes Gravity Force and Realistic Battles, along with a couple of festive goodies to celebrate the season. It’s good times all around, pratele.

Solitaire Stories, More Solitaire Stories means more stories to play Solitaire along to. There are two new storylines, Family Tree and The Favor of Santa Muerte. The update notes suggest these may be Autumn-themed updates, but I’ll let you figure that one out on your own. If you can complete the new stories, you’ll get ten new deck designs. This new version also allows you to replay stories to improve your leaderboard position if that is a thing you want to do. There are new difficulty settings, and various other little improvements.

Angry Birds Reloaded, The birds, they remain so angry. I do not know what to do with them. One could argue the pigs are to blame for stealing the eggs, but how long will this war wage on? How many birds and pigs must perish? Do we even remember which specific pigs and birds started this? Okay, that should fill out the paragraph. This update has a new secret area to find, and a brand new 45-level episode called Off the Menu. That sounds fun. Go fling some birds, friends.

Zen Pinball Party, Oh good, speaking of the Brands. The latest update allows you to play pinball with your friends via the Funko Pinball Party Arena. I know some people love Funkos. I know some people can tolerate Funkos. I am not in either of those groups. More power to you if you like them, though. I’m just some weird old dude who lives in Japan, my opinion doesn’t matter. This new version also adds haptic feedback for iOS devices that can handle it, plus controller vibration support. Otherwise, it’s bug fixes and stability improvements. Nice, nice.

Outlanders, This is one of those games that has seasons, eh? Well, there you go. A new season of the game is upon us. It brings in new missions, new buildings, and new ways to keep followers happy. Building and managing your town is more fun than ever! Probably. I can’t guarantee that, but I assume it is so. Well, this is as good a time as any to head to the conclusion of this article.

That about wraps it up for last week’s significant updates. I’m sure I’ve missed some, though, so please feel free to comment below and let everyone know if you think something should be mentioned. As usual, major updates will likely get their own news stories throughout this week, and I’ll be back next Monday to summarize and fill in the blanks. Have a great week!
